| Name | Route | Current state | Player check | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HELP command firstcurrent check | cheats | required habit | Open the console with Ctrl+F1 and run HELP before copying older command notes. | Command names can change during Early Access patches. |
| Money cheat labcurrent check | money | working command set | Test PRINTMONEY, SETMONEY, PIGGYBANK, MAKEITRAIN, PAYDAY, and bills cleanup in a duplicate household. | Keep normal economy impressions separate from build labs. |
| Steam Deck inputcurrent check | deck | player-tested playable | Check trackpad cursor, console typing, camera pan, build placement, and save reload before a main save. | Launch reports are useful, but your lot size and input layout still matter. |
| Native controller supportofficial status | controls | not listed at launch | Use Steam Input only after build mode place, rotate, delete, confirm, cancel, and camera checks pass. | Mouse-style precision is still the baseline for large builds. |
| MacBook checkofficial status | mac | Steam PC/Mac | Compare Apple Silicon, RAM, storage, and first-save performance before the refund window passes. | Apple M2 and 12 GB RAM are the minimum line on Steam's Mac specs. |

| Build controls routecurrent check | build | before main-home edits | Test place, rotate, cancel, delete, pathing, and reload before editing a main house. | A clean small-room test catches input problems before a large build depends on them. |
| Career schedule checkcurrent check | careers | household fit | Compare pay, useful skill, schedule conflict, and household needs before choosing work. | A high-pay job is weaker if the schedule breaks the household route you want to play. |
| Workshop batchofficial status | workshop | Steam Workshop live | Subscribe in small batches, test in a duplicate save, then save, quit, reload, and mark patch retests. | One clean vanilla save makes troubleshooting much easier. |
| Workshop keep or removecurrent check | workshop | batch retest | Reload after each small batch, then mark keep, remove, or retest before opening a main household. | Small batches make the broken object easier to find after a patch. |
| Save backupcurrent check | save | before risky tests | Back up before commands, Workshop batches, crashes, Deck tests, or cross-device play. | A backup is faster than trying to repair a changed household. |

Tools and Commands
Search commands, copy money checks, compare build tools, plan careers, save session prep notes, and keep risky tests away from a story save.
Use this Paralives tools hub when you need a repeatable lookup instead of another article: search cheats, filter build tools, plan careers and skills, track Workshop items, save town route notes, or run platform checks before trusting a main household.
Cheats Paralives Cheats Finder: Commands, Money, Needs, SkillsOpen the Paralives cheat console with Ctrl+F1, run HELP after patches, then search this finder for money, needs, skills, jobs, items, FPS, or rescue commands. Use a duplicate save for anything that changes money, age, inventory, skills, work, or debug state.
Cheats Paralives Money Cheats: Commands and Safe ExamplesOpen the Paralives console with Ctrl+F1, run HELP, then use money commands like PRINTMONEY, SETMONEY, PAYDAY, PIGGYBANK, MAKEITRAIN, JACKPOT, LOTTERY, and CLEARBILLS in a duplicate save first.
Build Mode Paralives Build Tools Database: Curved Walls, ResizeUse the Paralives build tools database to search gridless placement, curved walls, split levels, furniture resize, recolor, object stacking, Workshop items, town route notes, and later build features, then run the saved checklist before trusting a house in live mode.
Skills Paralives Career Planner: Jobs, Pay, Skills, SchedulesUse the Paralives career planner to add school, full-time jobs, or side jobs to a weekly board. It filters by domain, useful skill, company, pay data, schedule type, and overlap risk.
Live Mode Paralives Live Mode: Daily Loop, Needs, and Build Mode SwitchingLive mode is where time runs: you direct Parafolks, meet needs, work, socialize, and let autonomy fill gaps. Check urgent needs first, run a simple daily loop, and switch to build mode only when the household is stable or routing is broken.
Town Paralives Melino POI Finder: Shops, Jobs, RoutesUse this Paralives Melino POI finder to search town places by type, use, area, and current-check status, then favorite places, mark checked stops, or turn one POI into a saved route.
Build and First Save
Paramaker setup, compact starter homes, build controls, object rotation, live mode, traits, relationships, and first household checks.
For your first Paralives save, start in the Paramaker, build a compact functional home, pick one career, and learn the needs-wants-emotions loop before expanding. One Parafolk in a small house is enough to understand how Early Access plays.
Paramaker Paralives Paramaker: Character Creator First-Save GuideParalives' character creator is the Paramaker. Make one readable Parafolk, set a trait direction, create at least two outfits, then leave the editor and test one live-mode day before polishing every slider.
Build Mode Paralives Build Mode: Decks, Gridless Homes, and RoutesParalives build mode gives you gridless placement, curved walls, split levels, resizable furniture, recoloring, and flexible outdoor layouts. For decks and platforms, build the floor height, door route, stairs, railing, and live-mode path test before decorating.
Build Mode How to Rotate in Paralives: Objects, Floors, GridTo rotate in Paralives, enter build mode, select the object or build piece, then use the Rotate control shown in the live UI or Settings -> Controls. Current public controls commonly point to X for 90-degree turns and comma or period for 45-degree item turns, but confirm rotate, snap, cancel, delete, and camera bindings in your current build before redesigning a main home.
Traits Paralives Traits Guide: Personality, Emotions, and WantsParalives has three connected personality systems at launch: traits, emotions, and wants. Traits shape the emotional baseline and autonomous behavior; wants are short-term desires that affect emotional state; emotions are the visible result of how all three align with daily life.
Relationships Paralives Relationships: Social, Family, Romance, and Town VenuesParalives Early Access includes social interactions, relationship growth, multiselect, children, aging, death, and town venues like shops and restaurants. Build one or two repeatable contacts before romance; family tree and organized parties are planned later.
Careers Paralives Careers: Rabbit-Hole Jobs, Bills, and Schedule PlanningParalives careers are rabbit-hole jobs—Parafolks leave for shifts and return with pay and progression. Choose a schedule that covers bills and still leaves evenings for skills, wants, relationships, and home upkeep.
Mods and Workshop
Workshop tracking, custom content, install checks, save backups, crash isolation, and patch retests before a main household depends on community items.
Use the Paralives Workshop tracker when you subscribed to a Workshop item and want to know if it can go into a main household. Save the item, mark subscribed, tested, reload passed, needs retest, remove, or main-save safe, then use the scenario checker for the next step.
Mods Paralives Mods: Workshop, Downloads, and Safe InstallsParalives supports Steam Workshop, and that should be the default mod route. If you use manual downloads or unofficial mod pages, treat them as higher risk: verify the creator, avoid random files, back up saves, test one item at a time, and never put unverified content into your main household.
Mods Paralives Mods Not Working: Install and Enable FixesIf Paralives mods are not working, do not start by deleting folders. Back up saves, restart Steam and the game, confirm the item is enabled in the in-game Mods menu, test one Workshop item on a throwaway household, then check whether local or custom mod folders are pointing at the right place.
Workshop Paralives Steam Workshop: Enable Items and Fix Missing ModsParalives custom content and mods run through Steam Workshop, but subscribing is only half the check. After download, open the in-game Mods menu, confirm the item is enabled, test the correct category on a throwaway save, then save and reload before any Workshop item touches your main household.
Save Location Paralives Save Location: Windows, Mac, Steam Deck, CloudThe main Paralives save location to back up on Windows is `C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Paralives\Paralives\MySavedGames.mod`. On Mac, check `~/Library/Application Support/com.Paralives.Paralives/MySavedGames.mod`. On Steam Deck, use the Proton compatdata path only after a PC or Mac backup. Then check autosave habits, Steam Cloud status, Library or household files, screenshots, and transfer safety before changing devices or adding Workshop content.
Crashing Paralives Crashing: Startup, Stutter, Mods, Save FixesIf Paralives crashes, crashes on startup, or turns stutter into freezes, go in order: back up saves, verify game files, update graphics drivers, launch with Workshop disabled, test a new small household on low settings, then add mods or your main save one variable at a time.
Sims 4 Paralives vs Sims 4: Which Life Sim Should You Play?Paralives is the better pick if you want a new Early Access life sim centered on flexible building and indie development; The Sims 4 is safer if you need mature mods, deep existing content, and stable long saves today.
Setup and Saves
Steam Deck, save location, Steam Cloud, controller, Mac, ProtonDB, settings, and crash checks before a long household.
You can test Paralives on Steam Deck through Proton, but treat it as a careful handheld setup rather than a Deck-first recommendation. Start with a 30 FPS cap, low or medium graphics, right trackpad as mouse, Steam Input confirm/cancel/rotate bindings, readable 1280x800 UI, a manual save backup, and one larger furnished-lot reload test before moving a main household.
Save Location Paralives Save Location: Windows, Mac, Steam Deck, CloudThe main Paralives save location to back up on Windows is `C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Paralives\Paralives\MySavedGames.mod`. On Mac, check `~/Library/Application Support/com.Paralives.Paralives/MySavedGames.mod`. On Steam Deck, use the Proton compatdata path only after a PC or Mac backup. Then check autosave habits, Steam Cloud status, Library or household files, screenshots, and transfer safety before changing devices or adding Workshop content.
Controller Support Does Paralives Have Controller Support? Steam Input & DeckDoes Paralives have controller support? Steam does not currently list native controller support. Keyboard and mouse are the safest setup, Steam Input is a workaround, and Steam Deck works best as a trackpad-first test route. If you try controller play, test cursor, camera, rotate, confirm, cancel, save reload, and build mode before a main household.
Mac Can You Play Paralives on MacBook Air, M1, M2, M3?Can you play Paralives on MacBook? Yes, if your MacBook meets the Steam Mac requirements: macOS Big Sur 11 or newer, an Apple processor, Apple M2 with 12 GB RAM minimum, and Apple M3 with 16 GB RAM recommended. A base 8 GB MacBook Air or older M1 model sits below the listed baseline, so test quickly before committing to a big household.
ProtonDB Paralives ProtonDB Guide: Deck, Linux, Save ReportsYes, Paralives has a ProtonDB app page at protondb.com/app/1118520. Use ProtonDB as a report reader, not a purchase guarantee: check whether the newest reports mention Steam Deck or Linux PC, Proton version, SteamOS or distro, launch options, UI readability, input method, build mode, save/reload, cloud behavior, and lot size before trusting a main save on SteamOS or Linux.
Best Settings Paralives Best Settings: Stutter, FPS, Build ModeBest Paralives settings start at default, then prioritize readable UI, smooth build mode, stable save-reload behavior, and a repeatable stutter test. If a decorated lot stutters, lower shadows, effects, view distance, object detail, or frame cap one step at a time instead of changing the whole menu.
Buying and Updates
Release timing, Early Access choice, price, roadmap, no-paid-DLC notes, and update checks before committing to a long save.
Paralives released in Early Access on May 25, 2026 on Steam for PC and Mac. Use the official Steam page for download, price, OS icons, Workshop, refund timing, and launch notes; avoid unofficial PC download mirrors.
Early Access Paralives Early Access: Play Now, Wait, or Test FirstPlay Paralives Early Access now if you want to test build mode, Paramaker, and the life-sim foundation. Wait if you need settled mods, stable long saves, native controller support, or later roadmap systems before your first household.
Price Paralives Price: $39.99 Early Access and Free UpdatesParalives is not free. The official FAQ says Paralives will cost $39.99 USD during Early Access, the price will increase gradually after Early Access content expands, and the game will not have paid DLCs - only free updates and expansions.
Early Access Paralives Roadmap 2026: Official Updates and FeaturesParalives is now in Early Access, and the official post-release roadmap is the page to watch for the next few months of updates. Use a test save for new systems, read Steam news before patches, and do not treat future-feature names as exact dates.
System Requirements Paralives System Requirements: PC, Mac, and Deck CheckParalives lists Windows 10, i5/Ryzen 5 at 2.5 GHz, 12 GB RAM, GTX 1060 or RX 6600 XT, DirectX 11, and 8 GB storage as the Windows minimum. Mac minimum is Apple Silicon with macOS Big Sur 11 or newer, Apple M2, and 12 GB RAM. Steam Deck is not a direct spec match, so use the Deck guide before relying on handheld play.
Best Settings Paralives Best Settings: Stutter, FPS, Build ModeBest Paralives settings start at default, then prioritize readable UI, smooth build mode, stable save-reload behavior, and a repeatable stutter test. If a decorated lot stutters, lower shadows, effects, view distance, object detail, or frame cap one step at a time instead of changing the whole menu.
Paralives is live in Early Access on Steam, and the first question is usually not “what is the whole game?” It is “will my setup work without risking a household?” Use this hub as the launch setup page: check Steam Deck, controller support, save file location, Steam Cloud, MacBook requirements, ProtonDB reports, object rotation, build mode, Workshop mods, and first-save safety before you commit to a long story save.
The safest route is to pick the problem that can break today’s session. If you are on Steam Deck, test the trackpad, UI, build mode, and reload. If you are moving devices, back up the save file before trusting Steam Cloud. If you are adding mods, use Workshop and a duplicate household first.
Use Steam for install checks, keep a manual save backup before device transfers, and repeat Deck, controller, command, career, and Workshop tests after patches.

The 30-Minute First-Save Test
Do this before you start a story save, a huge build, or a Workshop-heavy household:
- Install Paralives from Steam only.
- Open settings and check resolution, UI scale, controls, graphics preset, and save options.
- Create one Parafolk in Paramaker.
- Build a tiny home with a bed, bathroom, food area, and one hobby or work object.
- Run one in-game day in live mode.
- Save, quit to desktop, relaunch, and reload.
- Add a larger furnished room and test camera movement, object placement, and performance again.
| Test area | Pass sign | Stop and adjust if |
|---|---|---|
| Input | Cursor, camera, confirm, cancel, and menus feel predictable | You mis-click small UI targets or cannot rotate/delete quickly |
| UI | Needs, catalog labels, and tooltips are readable | You need to lean in on Deck, handheld PC, or a laptop |
| Build mode | Place, rotate, resize, undo, and delete all feel controlled | A simple room takes too much effort |
| Live mode | You can select Parafolks, objects, and panels without fighting the camera | Daily tasks feel clumsy before the home grows |
| Save | Reload returns the household and lot correctly | A save fails, loads oddly, or breaks after Workshop content |
Launch vs Later Features
Paralives has enough in the Early Access build to start a real life-sim loop, but the full roadmap still matters. Use this table before judging the launch build against a finished life sim.
| Area | Available at launch | Planned or needs later checks |
|---|---|---|
| Character creation | Paramaker, body/face editing, outfits, personalities | More clothes, traits, and customization over time |
| Building | Gridless construction, curved walls, split levels, resizing, recoloring | More furniture and build content during Early Access |
| Daily life | Careers, skills, needs, wants, emotions, relationships, aging, children, bills, cooking | More jobs, social interactions, town activities, and system depth |
| World | Open-world town with shops, parks, restaurants, and museums | Town creation tools, more activities, and story progression |
| Future systems | Not all roadmap features are day one | Weather, seasons, pets, cars, bikes, boats, houseboats, pools, events, gardening, and fishing are planned for later |
Platform And Input Caveats
Paralives is a mouse-first life sim at launch. That does not mean Steam Deck or controller play is impossible, but it does mean the test is stricter than “does it open.” Build mode is the real filter. Curved walls, object resizing, catalog browsing, Paramaker sliders, and small UI targets all ask for pointer precision.
If you are buying for Steam Deck, read Steam Deck Settings and ProtonDB Reports before the refund window passes. If you are buying for couch play, read Controller Support Test before assuming a gamepad will feel like a native setup. If you are buying for MacBook, read MacBook Support and make sure your memory and chip match Steam’s requirement rows.
Workshop And Save Safety
Workshop support is a major reason Paralives can grow quickly, but it is also the easiest way to confuse launch-week troubleshooting. Keep one clean save, one test save, and one main save. Add community content only after the vanilla save can run, save, quit, reload, and handle a furnished lot.
| If you want to… | Safer route |
|---|---|
| Install Workshop furniture | Test it in a duplicate household first |
| Build with custom content | Keep a vanilla version of the same lot |
| Report a bug | Reproduce it without Workshop content if possible |
| Move between PC and Mac | Confirm Steam Cloud and local save behavior before switching often |
| Try Deck or Linux | Use a test household until Proton reports are steady |

Is Paralives out now?
Yes. Paralives released in Early Access on Steam on May 25, 2026 for PC and Mac. The official roadmap post listed 10 AM EDT for launch timing.
Can you play Paralives on Steam Deck?
